Barbara Falkenrath holds a Masters Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Barbara is currently employed as a Human Resources Manager for an international company
headquartered in Central Florida.
Before publication of Danny Finds His Special Gift Barbara contributed articles to various web sites and on-line publications.
The story of Danny Finds His Special Gift was inspired by Barbara's West Highland White Terrier, Danny. Danny was born in a puppy mill and spent the first eighteen months of his life in a cage. The wonderful volunteers at Oklahoma Westie Rescue took him out of that situation, took care of his medical needs and put him in a foster home to give him a chance to socialize until he found his forever home and forever family. When Barbara and her husband, Kent, contacted Oklahoma Westie Rescue in an effort to find a playmate for their one-year-old Westie, Katy, Danny was suggested. It was love at first sight and on December 30, 2006,Danny found his forever home and a forever place in the hearts of Barbara, Kent and Katy.
